I finally figured this one out messing around some more. I had the player setup scripts autorun on the same map for the purpose of testing, but I believe these were resetting my party inadvertently. When I removed the scripts from the map, things worked as intended.
I've been dealing with an issue for the past day and a half that I can't seem to sort out or find anything about. After being given a Pokemon, either through a script or through "Give Demo Party," the Pokemon tab of the menu is unavailable, and wild battles cannot be started. What's weird is...
I've given the player a Pokemon on this map for the purpose of getting it to work, but it appears it isn't in the party as Pokemon isn't showing up in the pause menu (just noticed this).
