Well, he waited two full days, so it could technically count as two changes.

Anatomically speaking, he didn't mutate the sprite. Its anatomy was actually just barely changed. He mostly just changed its pose, which, if memory serves, is not prohibited. However, on an unrelated note, it should be turned slightly, so it is facing the foe.

His fusion wasn't one of the two asked for, but a previous request. So he doesn't choose the next fusion.
