    FireRed hack: Pokemon: Elemental Rift

Hey thanks, I really appreciate your thorough feedback. I've replied to your points in the spoiler, but this is definitely perfect feedback and I'll roll out most of your points soon. Again, thanks so much for the time you (and everyone else that has downloaded it too!) have spent looking...

    FireRed hack: Pokemon: Elemental Rift

Thanks! I've only been mapping for well, a month, so that doesn't surprise me. One of the issues I've identified is that I make my maps too big, then struggle to fill it appropriately. It's easy to fix those issues though, I might remake the maps later when I've had more experience. That's why...

    FireRed hack: Pokemon: Elemental Rift

Hello! My name is probably shamus24, and I’ve been working over the past month or so on a personal little project that I’ve become increasingly involved in – making my own Pokemon hack. It’s hard to justify it’s solely mine, given the immense amount of research and tools available to the...

    6th Gen X/Y Opinions

the music that's been shown so far in this game is really great - like, you'd expect it to be of course, but you can tell that the first couple of wild/trainer battles you get into are going to feel really special. the 3d graphics, the sound, the dynamic battle scenes etc. all are going to make...

    FireRed hack: Pokémon AllStars Version

considering your avatar is bmth's new album and you have adtr in your sig, i guess it's safe to assume that hayley is based on hayley williams? anyway, your work so far looks good!

    3rd Gen Favorite RSE Moment?

it was probably finding my friend's secret base for the first time, then realising we could access all of our friends' secret bases after mixing records. finding everyone's little areas with dolls and battling their team was great.

Emerald hack: Pokémon CrystalDust [v3 PUBLIC ALPHA]

i love how faithful this feels to the original games, while still being inventive and fun to play. the phone card/pokegear graphics give me a huge feeling of nostalgia that hg/ss didn't quite manage to capture :)

    Thunder...bolt?

you generally want to use the 95 damage/100% accurate moves, but there are some cases where using the more powerful ones can be important. i can't think of specific examples off the top of my head, but if thunderbolt is only going to do 85-90% damage to a pokemon, while thunder will do 100%...

    6th Gen Evolution/Pre-evolution Speculation

i have a feeling most evolutions will be to promote the fairy type (see: sylveon), so yeah i'd totally bet on dunsparce evolving to a fairy something. i'd be surprised if oldschool pokemon like pinsir and jynx got an evolution, at this point i'm sure gamefreak/nintendo would like to promote...

6th Gen New Type Confirmed: Fairy!

well yeah, that's the main point of adding the new type. the most useful fairy, as i said, would be one that can safely switch into an outrage while taking minimal damage, and threatening the dragon enough for it to switch out. a defensive typing doesn't necessarily imply it can take an attack...

    6th Gen July Coro-Coro: 5 New Pokemon + Xerneas & Yveltal typings + Oorotto

porygon z with adaptability can run hyper beam to get a ko on a huge amount of otherwise specially defensive pokemon, but there are generally better options. other than that, yeah it's pretty sub-par.

5th Gen Who was your MVP?

scrafty was pretty fantastic - you got it early-ish, had a great movepool/coverage, bulky stats, and could reasonably take on the most elite 4. sigiliph was also good, although it tapered off later in the game it really put in work early with its high special/stab moves.

6th Gen New Type Confirmed: Fairy!

fairy types are pretty much assumed to be the best counter to dragons using outrage etc., being able to switch in while they're locked relatively unharmed. based off the information we have so far (virtually none) you'd have to assume the most useful fairy is one that has higher def and can...

    6th Gen Got a 3DS/3DS XL?

haven't picked up a 3ds yet, but i'll probably buy a friend's off him soon. i've still been using my 2005-era ds for pokemon games, it's 8 years old at this point but still works fine!

    hi there!

hey yeah thanks for the warm reception, this seems like a great and vibrant community if these responses are anything to go by. i've been using a range of forums for a while now (like, a long while) so i'm pretty familiar with how most operate etc. thanks again everyone, the level of enthusiasm...
