ok another question... ive been breeding slowpoke's like crazy and is it important to check metal kids' calc everytime an egg hatches? wat im doing is checking his calc everytime i get the preffered nature (bold)but that hasnt been working considering the parents have crap iv's

i noticed metal kids iv calc made u record ur pokemon's stats and ev's at each lvl until 10. is that necessary in getting the flawless iv's?
