There are actually 256 slots for Pokemon. Missingno is the other 105. I'm just not sure whether or not that the Creators accidentally placed him in the game, so created a hard to find route to him, trying to hide him, or that is the games back-up slot. Also a back-up name.

It is in fact very false. All the legendaries past R/B/Y will only be obtainable through Colloseum. Legendaries in R/B/Y will be availible through trading with FR/LG. Jirachi will be given out with Colloseum, and there is no confirmation on Deoxys yet. Some people don't even believe he is real...
