Ok, just went to stark mountain and beat team galactic there. Didn't catch heatran and checked back at the elite four and the yanmega was at lvl 65! So from what I can tell acquiring the national dex, and beating team galactic at stark mountain are REQUIRED to upgrade the elite 4. I'm not sure...

I've beaten Flint/Volkner once at battle frontier already, just caught dialga/palkia at mt. coronet and the elite four has still not upgraded. I've rechecked to make sure I have the national dex and unfortunately I do. I'll have to head on over to stark mountain and complete the quest there...

I've googled and searched a bunch of pages on how to upgrade the elite 4 in platinum and it told me I needed to get the national dex. I've done everything I needed to get the national dex and talked to rowan and oak already, but whenever I enter the elite 4 I battle the same level 49 yanmega. So...
