I actually plan to get a tattoo of Kyogre! I was about 8 I think when I played Sapphire for the first time. My brother helped me with learning the basics, and when I finally caught the legendary I named it after him. I remember jumping up and down on his bed and holding out my gameboy for him...

Ah cool! My first starter was Treecko. I was super obsessed with lizards as a kid so it was a no-brainer for me. When I was a bit older I went back and played the older games. I particularly liked Crystal, but I think that the game you start with will always be the most special.

I really like the Rocket Red rom hack. Also Pokemon Pathways is really good and has a gameplay loop that feels completely different from standard pokemon games.
