Unfortunately that's a know issue too :( It happens most times that you're offered Pokemon (except for the starters). I recommend to never have more than 5 pokemon in your party because missed opportunities don't come back.

You've got to use a program such as Lunar IPS to take the ips file and patch into a clean Ruby Rom. When you run Lunar IPS, you select the .ips file, then the .gba file of Ruby. Then you have the patch Rom, and then you can troubleshoot as directed. Edit: Thanks for the recommendation xXxLugia...

Just curious, which glitch? The one where you become stuck in the puzzle? Or you can't get the leader to the Gym? If it's the stuck one, just save before you enter the Gym, and if you get stuck, restart and try a different route through the ice. You can reach the end if you avoid that one spot...
