Windows 7's Paint is a complete failure. That's all I have to say. So instead of getting the desired upgrade with a new laptop, it felt more like a downgrade in all aspects.. I ended up using the Windows XP version, ironically. Nevertheless, my new sexy laptop pad seemed confortable enough...

I dunno what they told you.. I've never taken any art classes in my life.. (Seriously) What I do is, I begin with the lighter darks first, then the darker ones. Always starting from the dark corners mainly. I think I ought to post more drawings, since this one is like a year old from now.

Yay C64. You all need to try this pallete.

There are some pixel artists who get my envy too, lol. (I can link you some works, but I think it would be a BAD idea) You just need to turn that envy to motivation. Btw.. 8 bit waht?

No. You also have art theory and references at your disposal. Without something to guide you, practice would be futile. You can't try something without first knowing how to try it.

Yep. Similar to the Athenea statue, but not. The greek temple sort of makes the scale evident anyways. The C64 pallete is pretty much a pain.. It's why Im mixing up colors everywhere. Now for more pixelwork, I made a self-portrait while taking a break from the above scene, btw. It's...

    A Few Fakes

These designs are great. Quality wise, I like the emphasis you give to the lineart on mostly all of these. Even if the shading contains irregularities here and there, or even if the colors may be slightly off in places, the good lineart makes them seem invisible at first glance.. It's the...

Hm.. Pixeljoint? I go there all the time, but im too lazy to make an account. I post my works on other similar pixel art forums though. Yeah. Most of my WIPs seem like crap. But I can assure you they get better over time.

I call this one "IN THE NAME OF LOGOS" I started just moments ago.. That's the current progress. No references, and I limited myself to a peculiarily challenging pallete. C&C may be unexpected, but gladly welcomed. Remember to all hail Ms Paint.

Wrong. If you edit other people's work for the sake of critique, then the guy has all the right to incorporate your edits to his work, or reject them, whenever you like it or not. It all comes down to this: It's his concept, and when you edit it, you're just adding to it, not making it...

    A Fresh Start

This house just screams FF6 to me. But for crit: The scratchy surface of the white walls could be toned down a bit, and the wooden surfaces would look better and smoother without the dithering.. Hell, many things here would look better with a bit more of contrast, smoother surfaces, and...

    Suger and Spice Pixel Art

You got a good smooth lineart on Arcania, yet not on Flurril. Also, the sprites look too flat. You should add some contrast to the colors inside to make them recognizable, and give the piece some depth. Right now, you got the whole bunch of light colors inside clashing with the dark...

    Please rate (not a newbie)

Hey, what's wrong with being a newbie? :P Now.. I'd give all of this a 3/10. There is simply alot of room for improvement, and everything looks too flat and generic. First of all, the letters. I would advice firstly to give all the borders inside the letter sprites who are...
