I'd go with the macbook. The transition can take a while to get used to but it's worth it. After that you'll only need Chrome and a good messenger client.
Not so great really, considering how Jobs is trying to ditch flash since Apple can't make a working OS that can handle flash.
As for programs, you really don't need to worry as much since you can probably find freeware software of something that you need to do.
More like The Kung-fu Kid vs. The Karate Kid.
I haven't seen the 2010 version but from what I have read, the kid gets taught kung-fu and not karate, so I'm not sure if it is worth to watch considering how good the original movie was.
A link on Google told me about paretologic's data recovery program. Though I'm not sure if it's one of those programs that shows you the items you want to recover but you have to buy the program first.
