5th Gen Do you want BW remakes?

I'd love to see Black and White remakes, but to be honest, and to reiterate the sentiments of other posters on this page, if they're going to be like Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond, then I'd rather do without. I'd take a Let's Go! Black and White in the same style as Pikachu and Eevee, if...

What do you want to buy the most right now?

A house! It's surely one of the biggest purchases listed here... We've been saving for years, we've been approved for a mortgage, but the market isn't the best. Here's hoping this is our year.

    2023 goals/resolutions?

Last year, my resolution was to improve my physical and mental health, and I did have some success there, to be fair. This year, I'd like to strive for consistency in those two areas though; trying to keep up my good habits on a daily basis, rather than doing them in fits and starts.

    Coffee

I'm definitely on the anti-coffee train as well. As other posters have noted, I know people who are firmly in the grip of coffee addiction, and if they didn't have cups of it every day, they wouldn't function properly. Or, at the very least, they'd go through withdrawal symptoms....

1st Gen I find these games very frustrating

I think the main frustration in Gen 1 is the limited bag space - that's the one thing that makes me grind my teeth every so often. HMs were an issue for several games to come, so I don't lay that squarely at the door of Red/Blue/Yellow/Green... But the fact you have limited inventory space is a...

Film Avatar the Way of Water - Thoughts?

I'm actually kind of hoping this movie falls flat on its face (well, so much for that, looking at its box office totals...) But here's the thing: I watched the first Avatar twice, in a cinema and in 3D, and I can't remember anything that happened in it. At least nothing unique that happened in...

Article: Dude, where’s my Game Corner?

I know why they removed the Game Corner, but it's a shame. Sure, it's not something I poured hundreds of hours into, but it's a fun little diversion, and any kind of mini game like that adds something to the world and gameplay, I think.

    [Other] Dock or handheld?

I almost always use my Switch in docked/TV mode. Playing in handheld is cool too, but when it's a console game, I tend to want to play it through the TV.

[Sword & Shield] Now that Generation VIII is rolling to a close, what are your thoughts on these games?

To be honest, I'm kind of a Pokémon apologist: even at their worst, I'm inclined to defend the games, because, well, it's Pokémon, and the formula will always appeal to me. That said, the last few games are definitely a little low-effort. I love them, I think they're great, but the bland...

    TV most recent television binge?

It'd be nearly impossible to binge the whole series in one go, but I have recently completed Malcolm in the Middle in its totality, and I did have several six-episode sessions while watching it. It's a show I enjoyed when it originally aired, but I'd only seen random episodes. Watching the...

    dating

I've only dated twice: once, a girl in college, and that didn't last very long; and once again, with the girl to whom I'm now engaged. She and I are still having plenty of date nights, so I'm very positive about dating as a whole, but then, I'm lucky to have found someone. I wouldn't envy the...

    Your very first video game

In terms of home computers, it would probably be Burnin' Rubber or TMNT on the Amstrad CPC 6128. However, in terms of video games, it would have been Super Mario 64.

[News] Paper Mario: The Origami King launches on the Nintendo Switch July 17, 2020!

It's hard to say. It doesn't look quite as unique or quirky as Paper Mario or Paper Mario: TTYD. But on the other hand, it doesn't look as generic as Paper Mario: Sticker Star. The origami gimmick unnerves me, as well: I'd rather just have the battle system and mechanics from the first two...

    The Greatest Game Never Made

Not sure if this strictly applies, since I don't think it was ever officially in development, but I like to think that, if Cing hadn't closed, then we'd have a third Kyle Hyde/Hotel Dusk game. Hotel Dusk is my favourite game of all time, I'd say.

News: Pokémon Journeys: The Series coming to Netflix June 12

I suppose I'd rather they were released on traditional TV stations, but then again, I no longer have access to the stations that show new Pokémon episodes! So I've mostly been watching Pokémon online recently, and I'll continue to do so, it seems, with these recent developments.
