Gen III. It had both of my favorite regions (Hoenn and Kanto), the best OST (RSE), my favorite Pokes (again, from Hoenn and Kanto), and among other things. My second favorite gen is Gen I. There is a certain charm to those games that will never fade from my memories.

If remakes ever do come out, I do hope they have a "GBA Sounds" like the "GC sounds" for HGSS. The RSE soundtrack is my fav next to RBGY.

Don't know if this was posted here but, According to this interview (Spanish) with Masuda, the reason why the E4 isn't in the PWT is because they stayed to "protect" their region. "The Elite 4 members stayed to protect their region while the Champion is gone"

I'm not going to lie, without HGSS, Gen IV would have been lackluster for me. Don't get me wrong, DPPt where great games and I've owned all three copies and have played them throughly, but it never really appealed to me as much as Gen 1 - 3 & 5.
