Gary Oak is the only rival to Ash in my opinion. He had a kind of swagger about him . . :P I admit I never saw Paul's interactions with Ash but Gary Oak seems like the only person to ever rival Ash in terms of skills and popularity.

Original Outfit from the Kanto Region appeals the most to me. I still use the term 'Legendary Pokemon' to refer to these special pokemons. But,I don't mind people using 'Legendaries' or any other term to describe them.

For me Umbreon and Scizor have very good design. Especially Umbreon,with its association with night and moon.

Team Plasma look much more menacing than Team Magma.
