Your Past and Present Starters
Color Games(including FireRed and LeafGreen), Charmander. Frankly, I chose Charmander cuz Charizard was the coolest. Metal Games, Silver-Cyndaquil, Gold-Totodile. Both are good starters. and Crystal's one of the three Pokemon games I never owned. Ruby- Mudkip, Sapphire-Mudkip. Diamond-Chimchar...- Sounder

Mr. Person is right, in Red, Blue, and Yellow, you evolve Caterpie to Butterfree and use Confusion. Skipping Johto, in Hoenn, you can get a Lotad or Seedot very early on, both having an advantage. In Sinnoh...help me out on this one, I haven't played that part for a while now.- Sounder
