Oak, Definitely. He's the original and in what I've seen of the anime he'll usually be seen on a PC unlike Birch or Elm

I don't have much experience with b/w but I know for a fact Haxorus and Excadrill are two good Pokemon to have. Especially when you've given Excadrill Speed and Attack EVS and Haxorus Attack and SP.Def EVS

A good Team to have using 5 spots is Torterra, Togekiss, Weavile, Alakazam and Magnezone. If you o get the team, the last spot can be used for a Pokemon of choice
