Although I have been playing Pokemon since Crystal, my first ever shiny encounter was actually last week on Y. It was a shiny Durant, which kinda excited and bugged me at the same time since I do not care for that pokemon. Caught it with a luxury ball and will keep it untouched in a PC box...
