Genuinely this helped a lot, thanks for your reply One alternative fix that I found was that by talking to a trainer, it doesn't crash as it would if the trainer spotted you, so you could just set the sight range of the trainer to zero so you would have to talk to them to...

    Hey, i'm doing a rom hack myself of gen 4, would you mind telling me how you made trainer battles double battles? Cus when I do that and battle them in game the grame crashes. That'd be greatly appreciated!
