can the starting pokemon b shiny. i hav been resetting for firebear but no luck? am i unlucky or u cant get them?

Can u get the starter as shiny by resetting? Or hav i just been wasting my time? and also is there a sprites/ shiny sprite list for this? i tried looking but didnt find it
