Sorry, I haven't had time to finish that tutorial yet. I altered some stuff in the def pbGenerateWildPokemon; however, I wasn't too sure how I wanted to handle the checks. Ideally I would like to change something in encounters.txt and the way it's compiled so one can specify where such pokemon...
It's not suggested that someone just copy the new scripts over to the your version. It would be better to move your changes over to the new essentials since there are so many changes to the new essentials. As long as you documented your changes this isn't too hard.
I found a small error in the move effect for Heat Crash and Heavy Slam.
In PokeBattle_MoveEffects for the class PokeBattle_Move_09B in def pbBaseDamage the returned value is the variable damage, but should be basedmg.

There is no insult to the hacking community at least not from me. But essentials is not a game its a tool (kinda like the user interface you speak of, i guess). There is no already finished product/ROM that we are editting. I'm not saying what we do is better or harder. Its just different.
Believe you me when I make my game. It will be MY GAME, and not some mod. Any way like was said by someone else essentials isn't a game you mod. It's just a tool giving you a starting point to make your game with.
