After zooming through the game, and all of Kanto, i decided i'd just solo the rest with scyther (yarly.) Ran through, beat all the gyms in kanto, took a stroll up to mt. silver, and had a difficult battle with red. Good times. On to Emerald!!

Alrighty, update time. Sat down all day and waltzed through Crystal (yawn), with Scyther, Forretress, and Ariados. Beat the E4 for the first time. Easy peasy. Off to Kanto!

Finally! Beat Yellow. Took forever, and a lot of trickery with only two pokemon, and some revivery with Frank as a distraction. Definitely hard in yellow. Should be better in Crystal. Yeah, I left the game on a lot, lol. Neomoth definitely was worth it, and end up pulling me through the...

Eh, probably not. I'd like to use a vaporeon or some other one.

I finally got mine today, along with my pre-order. Happy day!

I think Hoenn would make a great side-region.

Got my team of Parasect (Mimic, 30), Venomoth (Neomoth, 31), and Butterfree (Frank, 29). Just got out of dark cave, finally. Hate that place. Finally got around to actually playing a bit.

Definitely Fortree, or Snowpoint.

Certainly not something I'd choose, but I don't think they are too bad.

Definitely the secret bases from r/s/e. I was very sad to see they were replaced with the horribly lame (IMO) underground ones.

I must say doing bug in r/b/y is grueling. Only to cerulean and I've been getting bored with all the grinding i've had to do with Butterfree, Paras, and Venonat. Arrrrrg.

Dig and seismic toss are probably both good options. Dig'll be good for Surge.

Well, the rules say you gotta use your starter until you get the pokemon you need... So I don't think so.

I personally used a type that I nearly never, ever used. I do rather like bug, though. Just do what you think sounds fun, or your favorite type! And maybe fire will be funner with that difficulty..
