Only started playing fairly recently. Bought yellow, red and silver recently. All of them worked but I changed the battery in all of them anyways just in case of losing saves in the future, also changed the battery in my mates gold.

Dunno. Read somewhere about the ways that different cables exchange info, compatibility, e.t.c By the way do you remember which games you used for the trade between the SP and the pocket?
