    Individual Values - Why Do They Exist?

    For competitive play and to add another aspect of gameplay for those "hardcore" gamers. For me personally, I'm just OCD, so I have to to get near perfect IVs.

    If they were to reboot a previous generation, there'd have to be some new innovative feature added to the game, otherwise why use their time to beat a dead horse when they can reel in newer fans with new Pokemon?

    Treeko always looked the coolest. You didn't reap the maximum potential benefit of it until it evolved into Sceptile though, which was thrice as cool.
