    3rd Gen Hoenn's timeline

    It's not set in stone but I think a lot of people infer that it takes place the same time as the events of FR/LG. I believe at some point in the Sevii Islands they mention about linking Kanto to Hoenn, with no mention of time travel. (So it wasn't backwards compatibility like GSC -> RBY).
