I would have to say that my favorite Gym Leader of the first two generations is Claire. She was a tough opponent when I first played Gold, and I just like Dragon Pokemon in general (that and dragons are hard to beat when you are doing a fire mono-type challenge...)

I have some favorite moves, but there aren't really all that many compared to the moves I hate. More often than not, I only hate certain moves purely because it seems like the CPU uses them just to troll me at the worst times during a fight.
Favorite moves: Return, Close Combat, Aura Sphere...
Meh, it depends on the storyline. If it makes more sense to fight the Elite Four, then the Evil team, then that is what should be done. However, if the Evil Team is at the forefront of the storyline and/or gameplay, then make that the endgame. (thanks djonthe1st for making a necropost before...
For me, it has to be Suicune. I always either choose Cyndaquil or Chikorita as a starter in G/HG, so having a good water type to round out my team is always a top priority for me.

I personally loved that feature of HG/SS. I reminded me of the more limited "Follow Me" of Pokemon Yellow, a feature that made me want to play the game further even after I completed it, just to see what they would say next. I hope that they implement it in X/Y, otherwise I will be highly...
Cyndaquil all the way! Chikorita is a close second when you want to do a harder playthrough (grass types generally don't have many strengths), and Totodile can easily be replaced by stronger water types later in the game (Gyarados, Suicune, etc.).
