With the recent leaks of the source code for most NDS Pokemon games, will that finally allow for some tools to be developed to make some quality hacks that aren't just difficulty hacks? I'm very excited to see what this community might do with that kind of information, so I'm genuinely curious.
The thing with procedural generation is that a level made using just that has a lot less character then something put together by a hand, by an experienced mapper. It can be good for smaller scale tasks, but I don't think a whole game made using procedural generation would have nearly the same...
