Hey look you guys! I've stumbled upon something on Youtube last night. (Out of boredom.)
What do you think?
It's not perfect but it's not that shabby, r-right? :|
JPAN's hacked engine allows us to add more OW palettes, right?
At the offset 1A2400, I've added another pointer for a palette to the table.
Like this:
... 00 00 80 08 17 11 00 00 00 00 FF 11 00 00 ...And yes, I ended the table with 00 00 00 00 FF 11 00 00.
But how do I use it in-game? I don't...
About those dots on images.
Those white dots are caused by the Floyd-Steinberg dithering in Irfanview I think. Try unticking the "Use Floyd-Steinberg dithering" box in Irfanview when you reduce your images BPP from 8 to 4.
You know this one: (ASCII Drawing)
That should get rid of those...
Wow, finally, a nice tut for RUBY!
But I have a suggestion, instead of using Cyclone Prototype, try using NTME. You could create your .raw file much faster!
And to save some space, use Sphere to create your Tile set. It's compatible with NTME!
I think there's a tut for that somewhere. (I saw it...
Oh, right. I see now.
Well, I have some time in my hands so I could look for them.
And a patch for animations? If that were to happen, then all hacks that wish to have those animations in there hack will have the same animations. shiny quagsire's right, it'll make animations not so unique...
3cc290 is for FR, right? Well, I replaced the bytes found there with this:
00 00 A0 08. Then @ A00000 I used altariaking's code. Then added 2 extra frames to my trainer sprite.
I tested it in-game but nothing happened, I checked the tile viewer in real time and I saw no extra frame in it at...
Alright, finally! I've been pondering about this all week and now it's true!
That's amazing!
But, I have "bug" if you may want to call it reports:
1. When in battle, when you go to your Pokémon Menu and then do anything that leads you back to the battle screen, the battling Pokémon will move...
Hmm.. I never thought of that. I usually hack Ruby and I just found this method by "accident", I was toying with my FR ROM. :)
I have a manner of making things quite tough. -_-"
Yeah, I think that will be easier. Gotta edit that the next time. I still have homework to do. :(
And yeah, Un-LZ is...
Intro:
Hi there! Have you ever noticed that when you edit the front sprite of the hero in R/S its palette must be the same with its back sprite?
For me, it's quite annoying, so I've come up with my own method of having separate palettes for both front and back sprites of the heroes...
Umm . . Let's see, it could be because:
A. Your WAV File is bigger than the original cry. (I doubt that.)
B. Your WAV File is not encoded in 88Kbps (11025Khz).
-> So the outcome becomes a beep or something like static.
C. It's your ROM acting up. (Not likely but hey!)
Idk, but if its A...
Well, idk but try downloading A-trainer again and download a clean ROM from a different source.
You know, maybe it might work? 'Coz I've never encountered such problem before.
Yeah, I guess you're right. I just edited a trainer and it's prize money was about 2000 but in-game, he paid me only 525! So, yeah, there must be a formula. Thought it was a bug.
Whoops!
~ ^^
It could be an image issue! Trainer sprites got corrupted? Or any corrupted image that you may find...
