Nope. I went hunting for a day, but I never got past say a 20 chain. I did start going to the Friend Safaris after getting and using the Pokeradar though. (This is still a stretch, but I do find your results really weird. I wonder why one cart is that much less lucky than the other...)

I haven't spent too much time in the Friend Safari but 3 out of 4 of my shinies are from there. Pansear (I'm in the same boat as you about it), Electabuzz, and Noibat. All of them were just found randomly while checking out all the safaris I got. I may take some time to do some actual testing...

That's false. Tip them and they go out of their way to praise you. Especially if you tip 1000. (Which I always do since I'm sitting on like 4 million from the Battle Chateau.)

I've been using a Parasect. With Spore (yay, 100 accuracy sleep) and False Swipes, it's never failed me. I even have Sweet Scent on it for those pesky horde-exclusives. Pretty much the perfect Pokemon for the job, in my opinion.

I used to play tons, but these days I either have to be in the mood or have to help someone out before I turn on my 3DS anymore. Still 128 hours of play time is great for the price of the game and I still play occasionally.

As long as it takes to find anything else. Everything in the Friend Safari is equally likely to show up. However, if you two haven't both been online at the same time, you won't be able to find his third Pokemon. You'll know you haven't if you don't see his picture on the Friend Safari...

All three of my shinies were from the Friend Safari and I got them all in about 6 hours of a 24 hour period. Haven't really gone hunting since. I tried the Masuda method for a couple of days with no luck. Not sure if this means that Friend Zones are at a higher rate, or that I just have no luck...

I sort of know how you feel. Despite that fact that I've been doing tons of stuff post-game (118 hours on my save file now), I also sort of feel like going through it all again but wouldn't dare delete my file. I honestly don't know why this is the Pokemon game where I'm able to keep playing...

It wasn't very effective before, but now both Dark and Ghost types are normally effective in Gen VI.

Nope. The best save is a Ghost since they aren't effected by Shadow Tag and are super effective against him. Of course, they also have to be faster than him... which isn't likely.

He still suffers from Stealth Rocks, but I agree with you fully. It's cool to finally see Charizard become a Dragon (with X) but Drought alone makes Y the better option in my opinion.
