Is there a quick way to have Proffessor Oak give you the National dex right from the start of the journey without heavy scripting (which I'm terrible at)? Like a program that does it or something? Thanks...

I just added Gen 2 and 3 pokemon to routes of Fire Red. I caught one and leveled it up to realize it cannot evolve unless you have the National Dex. There has to be a way to have the National Dex right off the bat instead of the Kanto Dex, right? How is it done?

There was a trainer in my hack that after beating her, I took control of another trainer on the route for some reason and couldn't go anywhere. I deleted her, thinking that would solve the problem, but it didn't. Now another trainer on the route does the same thing. What's the problem? Thanks.

I can't seem to find that anywhere. I searched the forum and I can't find it. Would it be possible to take a Rocket from the same floor and change his script offset to something with more text and change his trainer offset to Giovanni's rematch? That would probably work, and I could still...

Is there any way to edit Giovanni's text in the Silph Co.? I think it might be a map script because advance map doesn't let me view the script.

What do you mean exactly? Like, cut out the whole script and then edit it in a program like WordPad and then copy it back in? Or am I misunderstanding?

Okay I've been trying to edit trainer's text. The wierdest thing is, it only happens on gym leaders and elite four. Knowing that now I don't think it's a problem with the text editor, but It couldn't hurt to ask. I downloaded different ROMs and the same problem happens. I don't think it would be...

I didn't do anything but change the text. Back in August and September this problem never occured. It's not a problem with later versions, though, because I tried with old versions I still had and it still didn't work. I promised a hack, and I don't want to let people down. Please help.

I've been using this particular text editor with advancemap since august, but lately I can't edit text or it deletes lines of code for some reason. In only happens after I make any changes to the script. Is this a common error? Is the problem PKSV, Advancemap, or the ROM? Thanks.

You're never gonna believe this. I went into one of my old backup copies and after testing if the old Brock could still be edited. I compiled his script without changing anything, and the same thing happened. Over 100 lines of coding, gone. I checked every gym leader, and the same thing...

I can't believe it, but it doesn't work. I deleted the original trainer, then inserted a new one. I found free space and inputted the hex number into where it should be. I compiled the script I needed and then reclicked on the character, and the same exact thing happened. I have no idea what to...

Yep, only that one event...so far. I've only coded up to Cerulean City, so I don't know. Yes just that one event.

The ROM isn't read-only. I guess I'm going to have to take the event out? Then I might need help creating a new character and getting the script offset to go to the right place...oh well.
