B/W First Comp. Team...

So this is my first attempt at a competitive team since I stupidly tried jumping into it in gen 4 with no knowledge of Ev's and whatnot. But now I think I've got a bit of experience I want to give it another try, anyways heres the team;



Gliscor@ Toxic Orb
Impish Nature [+Def; -SpA]
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe
- Fling
- U-Turn
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock

My lead, gets rocks up and can always U-Turn if theres a threat.

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpD
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spe)
- Curse
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

The team tank, not much to say about it, takes hits well and annoys with leech seed.



Salamence @ Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Hp / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Bet you never thought I'd have one of these eh, basically my physical sweeper if he can get a DD up.



Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid Nature (+Spe, - Atk)
Ev's: 252 Hp / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Rapid Spin
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Recover

Always wanted to use a Starmie, mainly my special attacker and rapid spinner, has a bit of bulk aswell so can be switch into some threats.

Blaziken @ ???
Jolly Nature
Ev's: 5 HP / 252 Atk / 253 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Protect
- Hi Jump Kick
- Flare Blitz

Another physical attacker, he's mainly in the team because I think he's awesome and can hit pretty hard at Ttar and other threats.

Deoxys-S @ Expert Belt
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
Naive Nature (+Spe, -SDef)
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- SuperPower

Not sure whether he's allowed or not but if so, he's basically the cleaner, outspeeding everything, revenge killer I think is the word?

But yeah I'm pretty sure theres a few weaknesses with this team, but hey, thats why you guys are here to help!

Ahh thanks! Sorry it's set out a bit shoddy I was rushing I probably messed up most the Ev spreads. -_- Could Lucario be a suitable replacement for Blaziken?

Yeah I know, thats why I want to try give Starmie some bulk, whether it actually works I dunno yet. But thanks alot for the help! :)

Thankfully, Dragonite gotten new toys in the 5th gen, like Hurricane & Marvel Scale.

I don't know a good Dragonite set for gen 5...

According to our banlist Salamence is not uber. Dragonite has a completely different niche than Salamence, with Marvel Scale, the ability to be a fantastic weather abuse with Hurricane/Surf/Thunder, abuse of priority in Extremespeed, etc. Salamence and Dragonite generally provide two different roles entirely and where their jobs could overlap, really one outclasses the other (and Salamence is by far the better DD sweeper).
