The Kryona Region: Region of the Icey North.

This Region is the continuation of my North American Journey to make the Pokemon Regions the best they ever were in North America. This region is based on Alaska and parts of Russia.

The Kyrona Challenge is when trainers who have been chosen by pokemon adventure across the frozen landscape in search of crystals and competing in events around the Region. Some crystals can be won, but others must be found. The only way to pick up a crystal is by touching it with your pokemon. If you are no worthy, you will be unable to pick the crystal up. If you succeed, an unbreakable bond will be made and similar to Z-Crystals, you will be able to call on the power of you and your pokemon.

However, these crystals are vastly different from Z-Crystals or even Mega Stones. A pokemon and a trainer must work together to create their own move to empower the crystal. The crystal will only be empowered to a certain color and sounds that the trainer and pokemon have created, making the crystal unusable to anyone else who attempts to steal or use one that isn't their's.

Trainers must earn 20 crystals total, and 8 of those crystals must come from the Mountain Peak Challenges that are around the region. Once a trainer has earned 20, they may compete in the Kryona League and try to become the Mountain Chief.

In order to earn the right to compete in the Kryona Challenge trainers must follow these rules:

1. A wild pokemon must choose its trainer, becoming the trainers starter pokemon. This can happen at any point in their life. It can happen at a very young age, or it can happen at an old age. Usually only one pokemon will choose its trainers, but in some cases, two or even three pokemon have chosen the same trainer in which they all become the trainer's pokemon. If they are not chosen at all, they are not considered worthy. Once you have been chosen, you can catch more pokemon even if they don't choose you.

2. Trainers can be at any age to enter the Challenge, but if they are younger than 10, they must have a traveling partner of at least 10 years of age.

3. To become Mountain Chief, you must have at least one pokemon that would please the legendary pokemon. Even though the legendary pokemon are wolf like; fox, dog and cat like pokemon are all acceptable.

4.Pokemon must be allowed to hunt their own food. You can feed your pokemon, but you cannot force them to eat what they give you. Nor can you force them to stay in their poke ball or home. Nothing is stopping you from hunting with your pokemon.

5. 20 Crystals must be found, 8 in which must come from the Mountain Peak Challenges. Which usually include climbing the mountain yourself and then doing a race or tournament at the top of the mountain.

All my regions are supposed to be in the same timeline, but I don't want confuse people with some of my other original pokemon I have created in the past, so they are ret-conned from this region.

New Pokemon: Basic List

Note: I tried my best to still give all types at least one pokemon, but Ice definitely dominates this region. So some types don't make sense. Here is the basic list of what pokemon will be in this region. ~~More may be added in the future, but right now, it is only these.~~

Hello everyone. It has nearly been a year since my last update for this, which I never finished completely. I felt that I needed to explain myself a bit.

First off, I was kinda waiting on Generation 8 to be revealed, which never happened. Especially once we got the code name for the next pokemon games, which was Beluga. I thought maybe the next region would be Alaskan based, so I stopped because I didn't want people to somehow get this and the new games mixed up.... which never happened.

Something else that happened, for a number of months, I lost interest in Pokemon and I didn't get back into it till April of this year. At the time, I was having problems with my computer where it would completey freeze up and force me to shut down when I was busy doing something. I didn't want to type something and then lose it because my computer froze. Along with this, I lost all my info on this region that I had planned to write.

I will not be adding anymore pokemon to this region. I will not be adding any new forms. But I figured I should at least stick to my promise. I am not sure I can give a description for each route anymore, as I don't remember most... But if I can, I will at least try to do some of the major cities.

As promised, here are the stats for my legendary. I will not be doing Pseudo legendary pokemon stats now. However, I do plan to get all the levels for every pokemon line established. As well as how to get some forms.

Also note: I have removed Turterra because it is too much like Torterra.
Second Note - I have also removed Kryonan Trevenant. No reason to have it. Especially not without Gourgiest.
Third Note - Kryonan Stunky and Kryonan Skuntank have also been removed,
Fourth Note - I have combined all new pokemon in one post. I have also changed the title King/Queen of the Mountain to Mountain Chief.

Important Settlements and Routes:
This one be my final post for this Region. I have picked out a number of important settlements and routes to describe. Since most of the region is mainly snowy, foresty and mountainy, there isn't much to describe.

Almond City - Almond City is the capitol of the Kryona Region. It is where most people live and where the Kryonan Challenge officially starts for most people. It has the main port in all of the region, because of these, ships are ready to travel around the region and to other regions. There is no transportation airport and so people must leave or arrive by boat. There is however a delivery plane that will take supply drops around the region.

Acorn Village - This is the village in which would be considered the starting village. It is built on a dormant volcano.

Pili Village - This is the village in which people will meet their rivals and hear about the Mountain Chief,

Hazel Town - This town is the third largest town in all of the region. It is on a river delta and is extremely popular for fishing.

Pistachio City - Even thought city is furthest north, it is the second most populated place in the region. This is because this city is where the Pokemon League is held. It also connects to other regions in the west.

Snowlash Island - This island is the most sacred place in all of the region and is said to be where the god like pokemon slumbers. It is almost impossible to make landfall on the island without a special item that is said to only come from the messenger pokemon.

Route 3 - This route is a mountainous route that weaves through caves and snow. It is said to be the mountain where the Aurora Pokemon was born. This route is also where you will find Silver Nectar.

Route 13 - This route is one of the most dangerous in the region and is said to have been where the Wolf Pokemon emerged.

Routes 16 , 17, 18 - These routes are surrendered by lakes where ice fishing is really popular.

Route 20 - This route is full of Hot Springs where many pokemon will congregate. Rumors state that this is where the first Kyronan Lights were first seen while a traveler was trying to heal his pokemon that had been frozen and both on the verge of death. Yet the human continued to try to help their pokemon first.

Routes 22-25 - These routes are the most dangerous in all of the region. Even with a number of islands, many travelers disappear and are never heard from again. These routes are always battered by Thunderstorms and Blizzards, causing massive waves. And is usually advised to have plenty of pokemon and friends with you.

Route 27 - This route once had a land bridge that allowed people to cross the ocean on foot, but it disappeared many years ago. People now travel across with their own pokemon or a small ferry that makes trips when possible.

I believe this is the final post for this region. I am glad I was able to finally finish it. I don't have much more I can type that I can remember. Expect a new region soon, or possibly.... even two. ;)
