Inserting Pallets in Gimp! - Shiny Quagsire

  • First off, you'll need the following tools:
    • Gimp 2.6.8
    • A pallet
    • An image
    First, open your image in gimp.

    Next, go to Windows > Dockable Dialogs > Pallets

    Click on the arrow in the upper right cornet, then click on pallets menu, then import pallet. PIC IS WRONG!

    Click the
    "Pallet File" radio button, then click the button beside it.

    Now navigate to the pallet, whether it be act, pal, whatever, then click open.

    Now click import, and close the pallet dialog.

    Now go to Colors > Map > Set Colormap...

    Click on the button that says "Default." A pallet dialog will pop up.

    Choose the color and close the dialog.

    Click OK, then your done! (That's one ugly torchic!)

  • Nice Tutorial, but I think it would be better if you show us how to change the pallet of tiles with Gimp. Anyways good luck.
