Sign-Up Sheet:
Name: Bradyn Kipsingh
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Bradyn comes from a family of good looks. His mother was a former Miss Hoenn, as well as Miss Sinnoh, and would've ran for Miss Unova had she not been freshly married (and pregnant with baby Bradyn). His father, was much of the same, although not a beauty queen by a man who liked to look good. He was rumored to have been a body-builder early in the day, but when asked he always changed the topic. Both were blessed with nice, "polished" tans, and naturally black hair. Also, both of his parents were blessed with height, with his mother coming in at 5'10", and his father at 6"2". Lastly, both of his parents were blessed with deep, loving brown eyes that could pierce even the darkest of souls.
However, this is where it starts to get interesting.
While Bradyn does have the nicely tanned skin, everything else is fairly different. Instead of black hair, Bradyn was born a ginger. Instead of the height of his parents, Bradyn actually comes in at 5'9", lower than both of his parents. Instead of brown eyes, Bradyn is blessed with a unique set of baby blues. It's not actually clear where the unique traits came from, but both parents assured that they were never unfaithful. Bradyn has his suspicions about his mother, however... As a close friend she once told him about from her childhood looked almost exactly like him (Bradyn snooped, and found a picture).
In terms of what he wears, Bradyn is... A bit more fashionable than most. Bradyn prefers to have his hair short, with what he calls his "custom faux hawk" look. He wears a tightly-fit black shirt (he is built muscularly like his father), with a long-sleeved yellow and white (vertically) striped shirt over it. The sleeves are rolled up, and every button is button except for two at the top. He wears light blue denim pants, which are semi-tight in the butt and torn at the knees (you know, like today's modern fashion ^^). To top it all off, he has a Sharpedo-tooth necklace, and wears black converses to go with the black undershirt.
Personality: Bradyn is a hard read. He's had a very difficult life, but he tries not to take that out on others. He can be secretive at times, but he's even like that with his parents, so there's no harm in that. He's more friendly than expected, and he loves his pokemon very much, and his pokemon in turn love him. He's only really bubbly when outside of battle; any other time, he is as serious as can be. He's not blessed with many friends, but that might be due to the serious look that seems to (constantly) be plastered across his face. As said... He is actually quite friendly.
History:
After starting his journey at an early age, only to "retire" two years later, you could say that his Pokemon lit a fire under his tail. Not Flareon, either. Although Bradyn seemed to have given up on training, and battles, he never quite stopped the traveling. Rather than leaving his parents to travel, he found himself pleading with them to embark on his journeys along side him. Sinnoh was beautiful, and Sinnoh was nice... He just simply found himself wanting much more than what he had. They started with Kanto. Bradyn never challenged a single Gym Leader while he was in Kanto, but that did not stop him from wanting everything and anything that he could get. He captured many a pokemon, and won many a battle, although he still found himself battling his inner demons and lacking the desire to fight. His pokemon wanted it, his parents encouraged him to do it... He just couldn't put himself in the right mind frame. Catching the wild pokemon, battling the wild pokemon... That was what was fun to him. He enjoyed catching new pokemon and making new teams, and all the sites that he was able to see in his travels. He would indeed battle the Gym Leaders, just not in their Gyms. Ever heard of the "Masked Battler"? The mysterious figure, who, at the most inopportune times would show up all over Kanto (and later Johto) and request non-Gym regulated battles? Yeah, that was Bradyn... Proud of it, too, although a bit unorthodox.
Johto was much of the same-- His parents left him for this journey, but he didn't mind the least bit. At this point, it was a bit of a relief to not have them there by his side constantly. He did battle Gym Leaders here, and he defeated each in his first go around, but when presented with the badges... He denied them. Again, unorthodox, but when asked about it he never would explain it. He was more so in the... Joy phase, catching and battling more wild pokemon, making more rivals and wrecking a few dreams here and there... The only way he really felt that he should live life. He was requested and then approved to challenge the Johto League, but he bowed out in the Quarterfinals. His opponent, a girl younger then him by a year, would approach and confront him after the battle. You see... Bradyn, with all his desire problems, had thrown the battle purposefully. He didn't want to win... And he didn't want to be there any longer. It was nice, but not his cup of tea. The young girl was angered, and would demand a battle outside of the Johto League confines. Giving her what she asked for, he battled her... Taking each of her pokemon out solely with the help of Vaporeon. He left Johto within hours of that...
Hoenn was where he had the least success of all. He battled, and won, he won all of his Gym battles, and actually accepted the badges this time... However, while all of those things did indeed happen, his team took some of their hardest hits to date. His team began to fall apart, the work ethic was bad, and by the time he got to the Hoenn League (where he honestly wanted to be), his team was demolished in the early rounds. It was something... It IS something that he has trouble dealing with to this date, but does his best to overlook it. Again, he caught a fair share of pokemon here, and even took a good few months to train those pokemon specifically. Bradyn was beginning to mature ever so slowly, and battles were once again becoming a passion of his. His team rebuilt, slowly, and after a few visits to some Pokemon appreciation camps they were like they were before. Except better.
Much, much better.
Sinnoh and Unova were much of the same, almost becoming a bit of a blur. He swept straight through the Sinnoh League, taking the championship quite easily, although he would not stay the champion long. Unova was indeed the same in that aspect, with Bradyn training and battling hard all the way to the finals of the Unova League. His Eevee evolutions teams, now famous, would help him greatly along the way. Although not the sole reason for him winning the Unovian League, as he did add the strength of his Gallade and Gothitelle, a lot of the fame was directed towards the tandem of evolutions. He had been overlooked a few times... And he had made his opponents pay each time. He didn't hold the Unovian title long either, but he didn't really mind that. He had won it, at least once, and that was all that mattered to Bradyn at this point.
Bradyn was advised to go to the Pokemon Olympics by former Gym Leader and Champion Wallace, and he followed the advice rather rapidly. So much in fact, he took all of his belongings, his pokemon, and moved all the way to the host city, Nimbasa. He received some fame, but not too much that it was able to disrupt his everyday life. He trains harder and harder with each coming day, and hopes that he can threaten for the title of the Pokemon Olympics Champion. If not... He'll at least have fun along the way. With a team full of comedians, who wouldn't?
Why do you want to be a part of this roleplay? Because... It's mine. xD
