Yeah, I reuse some nicknames because I feel they fit the pokemon best. For Pikachu I was thinking of Ritchie from the anime and Jolten was just made to be called Sparky.

I've got a team that I used to play through Red Version for the first time a couple of months ago (I started my Pokemon life with Yellow when I was a kid; never went backwards after that). I decided when I started that I'd try and use Pokemon that I've never really given much time to before; but (for some reason) I also try and catch as little Pokemon as I can on my way through.

Although my team was under-leveled, I thought it was well balanced (type-wise), and I was able to beat the Elite Four and the Champion with no Pokemon stronger than Level 53 (at the end). My Hall of Fame team:

Just started a brand new run on crystal:

Just beat Whitney on Crystal. Current team, all levels 15-17:

Leaf (Chikorita, soon to be Bayleef)
Ghosty (Gastly)
Swirl (Poliwag)
Fang (Growlithe)
Tunnerre (Elekid)
Phantom (Phanpy)

The main intent here is to use Pokemon I haven't before (I've only used Meganium and Poliwrath, but I haven't used the latter in a long time). My PLANNED team is supposed to be Meganium, Poliwrath, Arcanine, Sneasel, Nidoqueen, and Skarmory. But we'll see how Tunnerre, Phantom, and Ghosty turn out... but I still want my Sneasel!

What are some good moves for my pokemon on yellow? i am going to keep these pokemon, but need some moveset ideas for a couple of them.

NEEDS SERIOUS IMPROVEMENT = (Hitmonlee has been replaced with the stronger Machamp) No serious improvements needed
COULD USE SOME = Fearow
A LITTLE IMPROVEMENT = None
DOESN'T NEED IT, BUT FEEL FREE TO SUGGEST = Sandslash, Lapras, *Machamp*, Raichu, Charizard

Lapras - knows surf, ice beam, thunderbolt, body slam
Fearow - still working on a moveset, it knows drill peck, swift, take down, and leer
Sandslash - done, with rock slide, swords dance, slash, earthquake
Charizard - with flamethrower, slash, swords dance, fire blast (submission could be improved)
*Hitmonlee - needs big improvement; mega kick, jump kick, submission, meditate*
Machamp - earthquake, rock slide, submission, strength (permanant until GenII game is found)
Raichu - thunderbolt, take down, thunder wave, and thunder

I use Pokemon Stadium 2 to store any lose items i have before i start a new game, so i had a spare swords dance for both slash and char. I used thunderbolt on lapras, rock slide and earthquake on slash, swift on fearow, thunder on raichu, blizzard on a backup kangaskhan (unorthodox moveset)

i also have 2 spare mega drains and 3 solarbeams.

UPDATED : : I have pretty much finished, but could use some help ion fearow. still feel free to suggest on the others, but i am mostly done!

It's such a pain in the butt training 6 pokemon right now, I'm just before Koga's gym and I am definitely struggling with even the wimpiest of trainers. Hardly any of my Pokemon know any solid moves, and I keep getting status locked.

I recently replaced the batteries in my Gen 1, 2 and 3 carts and did myself a marathon. Here are my teams in Gens 1 and 2:

I started a file on Blue 2 days ago and now I'm at the Champion. It took a while, since I used the Mew glitch to build my team other than my starter. Don't really have anyone to trade with and one of the Pokémon was Red exclusive.
