6th Gen Do we need past legendaries?

  • I definitely think they should appear, the idea of legendaries being static to a couple of areas just isn't appealing to me, and I'd love to have Raikou or some such in the game.

  • I think some of them should and will appear. Not only because they are hard to get without previous game, but also because it gives you more little side quests to do after the E4 without filling this new Pokédex with heaps of legendaries.

  • My biggest problem with past legendaries appearing in new regions is the fact that we hardly get any reasoning behind the shift in location, and it just feels like they're dropped in for the sake of giving the player something extra to do.

    Prime examples:

-Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza appearing in Johto. Why? Sure, they appear in a tower that is somehow connected to Hoenn, but aren't they all unique deities native to Hoenn itself?

-Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie in Unova. Okay, there's a cave similar to the one in Sinnoh, but then they proceed to simply appear in three random spots (Mesprit in the middle of Nacrene, for Arceus' sake).

I mean, it wouldn't necessarily bother me as long as we were given some reasoning for them appearing where they do.

I think there could potentially be past legendaries, like roaming legendaries such as the trio lake guardians (mesprit, uxie, and azelf) or the three legendary birds of kanto (moltres, zapdos, articuno). But, then there's the question of, will the past legendaries be involved with the main plot, or will they be only post-game material?

Someone mentioned on how Mewtwo could possibly be in the games, and I said, 'hey, why not!'.

If they go into depth about mewtwo and mew I would be sooooooo happy! The anime short about how mewtwo was created was just the coolest thing ever, and if mewtwo comes into play on this whole genetics theme, then I would be happy!
