First of all, hope everyone is having a good 2025 so far. Wanted to make a quick announcement regarding the status of Pokemon Wish Version.
The last time Wish had been updated was in the end of 2023. Since then the main discord server had been deleted and all support for my projects had ceased entirely. As a result I have failed to communicate the status of Pokemon Wish and its future to the wider community. Due to emergent mental health issues and my attention shifting towards non-Pokemon communities (namely Bakugan and Yu-Gi-Oh), Pokemon Wish had not been updated in any way, shape or form, whatsoever since the last update.
This will change soon. Around the end of Winter/early Spring I will be resuming my progress on Pokemon Wish and a new discord server will be created to replace the old. My spark for Pokemon never fully went away, and I found it returning recently. I want to thank everyone who stuck with this project and waited patiently. The most recent responses to this thread is proof that I still have something to offer this community. See you all next update
Thank you so much for returning to clear up the air! As someone who was really moved by the game you've released so far, I appreciate you for doing that, and I know I'm not the only one.
Regarding the emergent mental health issues, I feel that. I feel it in my soul. Indeed, for myself, I'm not sure they've receded in any meaning way as of now. Still, one thing I've come to know is that, and no joke, works like yours have really helped with managing it as I continue going through my day-to-day. So thank you for that, too. ❤️
It should come as no surprise, but I'm over the moon, as it were, that the Pokémon Wish project will be continuing! For coming across this game somewhat randomly, I really connected with it and the story and characters seen so far in the demo. (Pardon me, please, if I'm repeating myself.) I look forward to being able to see and experience whatever's next to come!
Continue taking care of yourself, including your wellbeing. And thanks once more for the post and the wonderful news!
PS: Bakugan and Yu-Gi-Oh!, each in all their various incarnations, are all really cool, too. (I grew up a Poké-Digi-Yugi kid, 'cause no cable, but have later in life come to appreciate and love Bakugan, despite not growing up with it like the others. Beyblade, too, for that matter.)
PPS: One of the reasons I really vibe with Cole's design, in addition to loving the muscularly cut look in general
and appreciating how the outwardly sporty look really fits the aesthetic of someone who is traveling or is about to travel one or more landmasses perfectly, is that Cole high-key feels at home with some of the characters who's designs I often end up liking in the aforementioned franchises' works.)
