[Questions] PSA Graded - Fake or Not

Hello all,

I recently started trying to collect base set 2 cards and started with a holo Wigglytuff that is a PSA grade 8.

I am aware that there can be fake PSA cards and cases made and what signs to look out for, but my real question is can fakes make it through PSA checks?

I would also be very interested to know if anyone has specific details/info etc on this subject!
