This thread is one i started to post various poems dealing with relationships between pokemon and lore, pokemon with other pokemon, and pokemon and trainers. Feel free to give any ideas for other poems and give me requests.

The Nordic Mortality Duo (Xerneas & Yveltal):
    Two beasts of legend
One being the Stag of life
Guarding the roots of the tree of life
The other being a Blind Eagle
Seeing the souls of all atop the tree
Though beings of the same tree
    They're purposes differ greatly
The stag becomes the harbinger of life
    Becoming one with the tree
To share life with all as it revives
From the roots of the tree
The eagle becomes a harbinger of death
Absorbing the life force of all as it dies
And uses it to revive itself in a cocoon
    Waiting to awaken again

The Lunar Duo (Cresselia & Darkrai):
    Dreams
    Nightmares and sweet dreams
And the two beings who make them
    The black shadow
    Watcher and causer
    Of the new moon terror
    The pink swan
    Healer of nightmares
    Giver of sweet dreams
    The two counteract each other
Serving to keep each other in check
Yet not destroying one another in the process
    The power of dreams

These next two poems are Haikus, which are poems that have up to 17 syllables and are in 3 stanza in syllable combinations of either 3-5-3, 4-6-4, or 5-7-5.

    Dreams 2
    Nightmares and sweet dreams
    Polar opposites yet same
    The power of dreams

The Eon Duo (Latios & Latias):
    Twin Dragons
    Soaring through the sky
    Majestic

Sorry guys, I know I've made my last 4 poems about pokemon but this one will be different, also don't be scared to post opinions and reviews on my poems, I would love to hear what everyone thinks!

    Time passes slowly,
    As the stars shine above
The grass, the trees, the flowers
All slowly move as the wind blows
    While the stars shine above
    Silently watching

The Weather Trio (Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza):
    Three great weather beasts
The great beast of the land bringing forth powerful rays of sun
Slumbering in magma, far under the earth
The almighty sea beast bringing forth heavy rain storms
    Resting deep under the sea
The great bird blocking out the sun
Awaiting the the time of its need atop a great tower
The beast of land and the beast of the sea
Caught in an eternal battle for supremacy
    The great bird descends
    Stopping their battle
    And allowing peace once more

Sorry, been awhile since I posted, but here's a new one for any fans I've made out there.

The Creation Trio and Master (Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Arceus):
    Four controllers of separate dimensions
The steel dragon resides in time
Travelling through and controlling with a roar
The water dragon resides in space
Rending it when necessary with a wave of its arm
The ghost of a dragon resides in antimatter
Traveling in the shadows where time and space have no power
These three were created by one
The ancient king who created all
Now residing in a dimension only known to it
These almighty beast of godly power
Hide in dimensions special to them
And attack any that trespass in their sacred domains
Whether they be friend or foe

No reviews?! That's not good. Better rectify that.

Your poems are all fine, but there's a way I could see to make them better; I feel like your non-pokemon poem was the best so far because you're describing something that you've thought of very clearly, whereas the pokemon poems are repeating information that the fans already know?

For example, if you, say, wrote a poem about the Regis, you could just say they were created by ancient people as elemental protectors etc., or you could describe some aspect of them that people haven't thought of, like the civilization where they came from. Does that make sense?

Yes, thank you! After my first pokemon poem, I felt they were all starting to sound the same, and since its hard to find information dealing with them, it makes it hard to write it, but I'll take you're suggestion and figure out how to include something like that in my future ones. Again thanks for the advice!

I'm only going to touch this one for now, a lot of work, poetry.

I am wondering, right way, what meter you're using.

    What I've got is

    5, 7, 9, 9, 10, 7, 9, 10, 7, 9, 6, 11, 12, 13, 8

Right, so right now, the meter is all over the place. I don't know if you've studied much about poetry, but meter is how many syllables are in a line. Traditionally, they are meant to either all be the same, or to have a pattern. There is no real pattern to this at all. The feet are off.

And so is the rhyming scheme. Now do poems have to rhyme? No. But if a poem isn't going to rhyme you do it for the ENTIRE poem. You seem to rhyme for a few words. Also, rhyming a word with itself, not too good of an idea when it comes to critics.

Also, you use the same words, a lot. And you do not use many, or any tools at all. Something to watch out for.
