[News] Pokémon Direct for Pokémon Day

always love the time between the announcement of a pokemon direct and the actual event. this is when the community becomes the most creative. still excited and quietly hoping for a mindblowing gen 8 :p
 
Hopefully it's gen 8, given it has been already hinted at last year while announcing LGPE with a 2019 release date, today it's the right time to show some of it. I hope it's a XY-style trailer with starters, legendaries, and a bit of gameplay - the latter would be very interesting, given that 3DS to Switch is probably the biggest single leap yet for Pokémon core series titles (and I don't consider LGPE with its simplified gameplay in a region that debuted in a 23-year-old game to be representative of this leap forward). Even without getting too much optimistic, there are many reasons to hope for fresh new ideas in the game formula, let's hope Game Freak can deliver.
