Intro
Hi, I'm DotDotDot (or PoCitMonster Sometimes) or just Dot for short. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to make a Pokemon game. I even found a website that let me make a Pokemon town in the Gen 3 style and I had a lot of fun with that. Then I discovered hacking, and long story short, after multiple attempts ,and failures, at making a Pokemon hack I gave up and thought that making a Pokemon game would be impossible. Until one day a youtuber by the name Munchingorange introduced me to Pokemon games made in this thing called RPG maker and after some googling and a few tutorials from a certain atomic reactor I was on my way to finally make my own Pokemon Fan game, and now here it is.
If you're one of the five people that played Pokemon Purple back on the old relic castle I'm both sorry and happy to say that the game has bean almost completely redone. Most of the maps are the same but the Pokemon, New forms, Dialog, Gym leaders, Gyms, and more have bean changed (And hopefully the spelling) for the better!

Plot
The story starts out a bit differently than other Pokemon games; with a flashback of you dad and and his two friends on there adventure. They find some mega stones in a cave and after an argument one of the friends leaves to never been seen again. In the present day you play as a purple haired boy going on his very own Pokemon adventure and following in his dad's footsteps. Upon getting your first Pokemon you decide to save fighting your father, who is the current gym leader of your starting city, for your final battle so that you can both be at your max strength. Eventually on your adventure you meet a group of people that call themselves "Team Megas." This group seems to want Mega Stones and the three grunts you constantly run into keep mentioning something about a "secret ability" involving Mega Evolution even though they have no Mega Stones or Keystones. They also seem to have some sort of mass teleportation ability. Who are they? What happened to Tomson? What will happen next? Will spider-man be late to the prom? I promise at least three of these and MORE! will be answered in Pokemon Purple!

and it's just a basic file.

Had to rename it with a .rar for it to work properly.

I have no clue why that is I downloaded it on my Computer and my Laptop (Which I never use) and they both worked fine and gave me a file called "Pokemon Purple V. 2"

I like how you made the johto starters like alolan variants in a way. Do they have differing base stat totals or anything else worthy of note? It'd be awesome that if Totodile were a fire type that there was a fire type surf variant in this game, or that all three johto starters in general also get more moves to take advantage of their new typing. Same with the bonus starters for that matter

The starters ( and most other new forms) just have just have new moves for their types (like ember instead of water gun, etc...) So sadly no lava surf. Some of the other Pokemon have different stat spreads but I didn't change the base states( like leadian having a huge attack stat but an even lower defense stat)

That still good to know thanks. Hopefully at some point we'll get some spreadsheets, but I can wait for those. I think for now I can piece it together on my own.

Oh man I am laughing so hard right now. I am SO glad I saved when this crash took place. I made it to the town with the third gym (the fire gym) and in the pokemon center I spoke to the roughneck NPC and my game crashed when he tried to give me an item. You may wanna look into this.

Also many pokedex entries are cut off in mid-sentance due to the character limit, you may want to add multiple pages to add more text.


EDIT: Another big bug here, the quest to recover an item from the theives den in Sable Desert wont be tagged as complete. I did the mission to the letter, the quest log even states its finished, but the NPC who gave me the quest acts like I havent done the task yet.

Speaking of sable desert, why does the aerodactyl have roar? That just makes trying to catch it an ungodly chore. Can you replace it with another move or at least make aerodactyl a low enough level that it doesn't have roar yet?

I added another update to fix some bugs (Mostly in Sable City)
I also added a list of all the changes I made to the Pokemon in the game along with a downloadable version
P.S Thanks to Looneymoon1 for pointing out some of the bugs

no prob. Now I only wish I had kept a record for all the grammatical errors, but hopefully someone else will keep track of that. My only issue now is that I'm going to have to wait for the next major update as I had made it to Gigante City lol

Yeah im not the best with grammer, belive it or not it use to be much worse with spelling errors every five words it was so bad i had to completely rewrite everything in the game(expect the item descriptions)

it happens. I would seek out a grammar specialist to help you out whenever you can to help lighten the load of work you have to do.

I happened to notice while browsing this thread your professor has the same name as mine professor pine. Not sure if I have to change the name of my professor now.
