  • Paul's Training Method Challenge

What if Paul was right, that Pokémon were just tools which we use to help us achieve power, and if they weren't strong enough they had to go. This challenge gives us the chance to find out.

    Rules:

1- No Hacking/Cheating: It's a challenge, cheating would take that away from it.

2- No Trading: The only exception is to evolve your Pokémon

    3- Emulator's are allowed

4- If your Pokémon is defeated by a Pokémon it has type advantage against, release* it first chance you get, it is unworthy of being on your team.

5- If your Pokémon is defeated by a Pokémon that is 5 or more levels lower than it, again it must be released*.

6- If your Pokémon loses a battle, that does not meet the above criteria, then it gets a second chance. If it loses another battle, it must be released*.

7- If you deem a Pokémon too weak to be on your team, you may release* it.

8- Your team must maintain a 10 Level difference between your Highest and Lowest Level Pokémon.

9- You may only capture ONE Pokémon from each Evolution Line throughout the duration of the challenge (e.g. If in Diamond you capture a Starly, you may not catch a Staravia later in the game, even if your Starly has been released).

10- When Challenging Gyms you may only use the same amount of Pokémon as the Leader, no more, no less.

11- HM Slaves are NOT allowed, you must make do with what you have.

12- Legendaries may NOT be used.

*Whilst releasing your Pokémon is preferred, you may permanently box them instead.

    Optional Rules:

1- Gym Lock-In: Once you battle the first trainer in the gym, this is the team you must use to battle the whole gym. If a Pokémon has proved unworthy and been released, then you must choose another Pokémon to join your team.

2- Un-Happy: You may not evolve your Pokémon through happiness, your Pokémon shouldn't be happy with you.

3- No Names: Nicknames are forbidden, they bring you closer to your Pokémon, and Pokémon are tools, we don't want to bond with them.

The Challenge Ends when you've; Defeated the Elite 4 (R/B/Y/R/S/FR/LG/D/P/Pt), Red (G/S/C/HG/SS), Steven (E) or Alder (B/W)
