Weird theory but go check out the Sword and Shield OP 1 2 3, the first version the one sung by After the rain
Pokemon hired these youtubers to sing the Sword and shield OP and pay attention to the Pokemon in the background, like Gengar and Lucario.
This video was released a very long time ago, before the episodes where Ash catch Gengar and Riolu
Since they were hired by Pokemon its possible that they had access to inside information and they were subtly hinting the Pokemon that Ash and Go could catch in the future
Now all we're missing is Haxorus
Either Ash or Go is gonna catch 1 or Iris is coming back
