Ellia charged at another demon, splitting the beast in half at the waist. The bottom portion of the body stood for a few more seconds after her sword struck through the demon, before joining the upper section on the ground. Her blade and clothes were drenched in demons she had slaughter. She had lost track of how many she had killed. Not that she was counting. They weren't worth counting.
A strange occurrence happened next. Ellia couldn't quite describe it. The cavern grew dim, and a strange, eerie feeling washed over the swordsman. Suddenly, the demons began to back off and the humans and animals around the area all experienced a terrifyingly painful experience. As a younger woman perhaps, Ellia would have been more concerned with the condition of the other humans. Though that was a long time ago. Even as she slaughter the demons around her, it was more to satisfy her own cravings for revenge rather than to save the innocents being slaughtered. Instead, her thoughts trailed more to the origin of the mysterious voice.
It was revealed to be Kasimir. This was not the demon that Ellia wished to see vanquished, but he was an immensely powerful foe indeed, brushing aside Zosimus as if he were a fly. She silently watched his interactions with the other Cherubs, wondering what his purpose for appearing was. Was it some sort of intimidation? Or perhaps he had come to kill them where they stood. Ellia did not know if she could handle him, and she had no intention of dying before she confronted Achelous. The thought crossed her mind to escape for a moment, but the aching feeling of her attachment to the Cherub prevented the action from being carried out. That, and she doubted the demon would have allowed anyone to slip out. All she could do now was watch and listen.
