[Other] How do i make text shorter? (G/S)

Say I have a text and I wish to make it shorter than the original one was how would I go about doing this?
I don't really care about making anything longer, just shorter

Does (G/S) stand for Gold/Silver rom hacking? If so, just put byte "57" at the end of a text string. That will tell the "text processing code" not to load any more text data for that specific text string.
