Overview
Spoiler:
Pokémon Krieg is a fan game that I am making together with a small team. It is a plot-heavy Pokémon game that features two fan-made regions, and halfway through the game, a war takes place between the two regions. However, in addition to being story-focused, this game also features a high level of difficulty in terms of both Pokémon battles and dungeons/puzzles. There is a lot to explore, and you will need to play your part in the war.
Story
Spoiler:
As mentioned before, this game features two regions - Reichsland and Yagzhu. Reichsland is a totalitarian dictatorship that is ruled by its one and only Gottfuehrer - Sigmund Lowestein - a man who is worshipped by the people of Reichsland as a deity. Meanwhile, Yagzhu is ruled by its Pharaoh, Amunrustehk. However, Yagzhu is ultimately a theocratic region whose laws are governed by its own state religion, al-Khaliq - a religion that is centered around the submission to the will of the universe's one and only deity - Arceus.
Reichsland and Yagzhu are geographically separated by a great sea known as the Sea of Disunion. Roughly ten years before the start of the game, Reichsland and Yagzhu simultaneously discovered Garanbula - a vast, underground location that can only be accessed via a cave entrance that is located deep under the Sea of Disunion. Garanbula is home to a large indigenous population, which had never had any contact whatsoever with the outside world over the past ten thousand years. But more importantly, Garanbula is also the home of many powerful wild Pokémon and precious natural resources, including oil, Mega Stones, Z-Crystals, and more. As such, the people of Reichsland and Yagzhu invaded Garanbula at the same time, sparking a war between the two regions. Eventually, Reichsland defeated Yagzhu, and as a result, Garanbula became a colony of Reichsland. However, the conflict between the two regions was far from over, as after the war ended, Amunrustehk began plotting to avenge the defeat of his region by sowing internal conflict within Reichsland itself.
Upon noticing how devoted the people of Reichsland were to their Gottfuehrer, Amunrustehk came up with a plan to weaken and ultimately destroy the very foundations of Reichsland itself. First, he modified the Kitab Muqadas - the Holy Book of the al-Khaliq religion - in such a way as to promote the use of violence in the name of Arceus itself. As a result of Amunrustehk's acts of deceit and manipulation, a violent cult by the name of Team Sirae, which is utterly devoted to Amunrustehk's corrupted version of al-Khaliq, was created within Yagzhu. After that, Amunrustehk sent Team Sirae to Reichsland, where they began spreading the al-Khaliq religion everywhere in order to weaken the population's faith and devotion to their Gottfuehrer. Outraged, the Gottfuehrer captured and imprisoned most of the members of Team Sirae. However, the ones who were not captured decided to capture the two children of Hannah - the right-hand woman of the Gottfuehrer himself - in order to use them as hostages against the Gottfuehrer in order to make him release the captured members of Team Sirae. The children of Hannah are none other than you and your sister, and this is where your adventure as a Pokémon Trainer begins.
