  • Hello ! yeah i wanted to now maybe if there is a location list, and the stats/types of evolution cruz ? =)
    thx !

See comment #62 on Page 3 of this thread, there's a listing of stats. Location you can use the Pokedex to find, every Pokemon will be faced in a Trainer battle at some point. Final evolution of Cruz is Water/Dragon.

Where do you find Meowsy or Meowth in this game? I want to know because I need to earn money for good healing items and more Ultra Balls. The Pokedex doesn't show a location for them.

Also, is there a specialist that you can sell the relic vase to? If I recall correctly, I found that item on one of the surfing routes.

The only way to get Meowsy and Meowth is to hatch the egg that is hidden in an alley in the city hall area of Goldenrod City.

I do not believe there is one of those relic maniacs who buys things for double price, though. I don't remember having a script for him at the time and I know for sure he is not in the sequel.

    Thanks, got the egg. 😁

    A couple more things:

Are there roaming Pokemon in this game?
Is it possible to get a beta baby Pokemon via breeding? I bred a Growlithe to get another Puddi, but I'm worried that I might cause a glitch by hatching the egg.

There are no roamers, all of the legendary ones are stationary.

Interesting question on the egg. I've had no problems and so far there have been no reports of it causing a glitch, it shouldn't. If you want to play it safe, I'd just save prior to it hatching and see what happens.

Yes, this error is still active.

The problem is basically that A-Z plus ! and ? Unown are being pinged as individuals, that means the game is trying to find individual movesets, images, cries, etc for all of them and they don't exist that way.

It is problematic as well because from here on my end, it works fine. But elsewhere it does not.

  • Ok, so as long as I catch only one, then I should be fine right?

I would save before entering the Ruins, just to be safe. Having one in your party will not hurt the game I don't think, but it's a matter of if they will appear or if you will just get error screen in place of the encounter.

I am wondering if the error occurs for the "A" Unown, since that is not a form and is actually the base Pokemon... Not sure what the encounter percentage is per-letter though.

Hey, first of all, mad props to you. This was so much fun to play; a really nice spin on the classic Gen II world. The Whirl Islands change was a very pleasant experience, and enjoyable as well. Already looking forward to the sequel.
A quick question if I may: How can I obtain Shellder and Wobbuffet? My Pokédex is complete with the exception of those two (and Cloyster by extension) and the legendaries. Thanks.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm not sure right-off where those two are, unfortunately. The legendaries are all found in the overworld after clearing Cedar City, most in places you walked through and in plain sight. Snowtop, Red Rock and the route east of Ecruteak (should check out that bell while you're in town). Lugia is a little harder to find, but Ogi Isle is a good place to start. I'd stop by the Olivine lighthouse too, especially if you're headed to that faraway region. Apart from those I can't remember where Raikou or Moltres are...

Raikou was right at that junction between Goldenrod, Ecruteak and Violet. Moltres was in the Azalea Desert, but I think that sign in the Whirl Islands had to be interacted with to open up the cave it resides in. Downloading the sequel soon; ready for another adventure!

  • Are the Sinnoh evolutions for Johto mon in the game??

No. In this game there are only Gen 1 and 2, plus a bunch of Beta Pokémon from Gold/Silver. Murkrow and Misdreavus for example do not evolve, but Girafarig and Qwiilfish do. Some like Doduo, Sunflora and Hoothoot have had another evolution added. Sunkern>Blossomole>Sunflora.

  • Hey Warsaw, I finally got around to completing this game. It took me about a year and an half, not because this game was boring but because I had to get a new computer after my old one crashed (RIP old computer, you served me well!), which meant i had to start my journey over but that's okay. So, I finally beat the game and it absolutely blew me away and it made me cry a little, knowing that your little brother probably didn't get to see this game fruition, and I can only assume that some of the backstory we're given about the Champion happened to your little brother. I'm sorry he went thru that, no child deserves parents like that.

From what I see, you're a good big brother and I can tell you and your brother loved each other very much. I just wanted to thank you for making such a great game. I'm proud to present the team that got me thru nearly the entire game. :)

Thank you so much for this. The years have passed but the pain never goes away.

So glad you enjoyed! Congrats on becoming Johto League Champion and good luck in the Shinto Region!

Is the player character sprite supposed to be squished, or did I make some kind of mistake? Great game so far

That's on me, a lot of the overworld sprites will look that way. Didn't know what I was really doing back then, still kinda don't to some extent haha

    Thank you, hope you enjoy!

  • Its not a big deal, I ended up using it as an excuse to work on spriting and imported some of my own edited sprites! I've played almost all of the heavy hitting Pokemon Essentials games. I see the potential, and hope you keep making games; I'm excited to see you improve! I'm going to be picking up the sequel as soon as I'm done with this one.

I'm not sure this reported yet but. So i am on the fighting gym. They bring in Rayleep and I have Jolteon. Jolteon mange to paralyzed Rayleep. It uses Sky Drop. It is paralyzed in next turn so the move failed. However, the game still think Jolteon is in middle of Sky Drop so it can't use any moves, or switch. They only were freed when Rayleep successful done Sky Drop without being paralyzed. It was kinda funny seeing them trying to use any other move but all failed cause 'Jolteon is in the sky by Sky Drop" deal.
