  • Hey yo! I'm back (kinda) despite depression.

I was wondering if it was possible to completely change a Pokémon's moveset when evolving for example:

Magikarp (Splash, Tackle, Flail) evolving into Gyarados (Thrash, Bite)

Wurmple (Tackle, String Shot, Poison Sting) evolving into Cascoon (Harden)

Nincada (Mud-Slap, Fury Swipes, Metal Claw, Dig) evolving into Ninask (X-Scissors, Aerial Ace, Double Team, Baton Pass) and adding a Shedinja (Silver Wind, Ominous Wind, Grudge, Will-O-Wisp)

All the moves in question would not be specific moves but the Pokémon's given level's last 4 levelup moves.

  • Yes! If you have a Pokémon editor like PGE this is no trouble at all.

Thanks a lot for your reply, but unless I haven't found the options in PGE, this isn't what I'm looking for.

What I want to do is for example for Metapod to automatically forget Tackle and String Shot when evolving from Caterpie and only have Harden in its moveset as if it was found in the wild.

Could something like this be possible?

I only use tools, I can't ASM, I tried but couldn't even begin to understand a single thing. (English isn't even my main language).

Find the bit of code that handles evolution, and add your moveset changing code there.

  • Yeah I know but what you tell me is as if you told me to calculate the mass of a black hole in year 1634.

oh sorry i understand what you're asking now, that would be pretty hard to do without some major asm, i'm thinking that instead of the Pokémon evolving, you could replace the pokemon with another pokemon when it reaches that level, but that would come with a whole host of problems.
