So, Hi! And welcome to Pokemon Abundance!
Pokemon Abundance is a project that I've been working on for a few years, mostly about the story, region and new pokemon, but only recently I've started to develop the game itself.

The Plot

On the day of the player's sixteenth birthday, he gets a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work under the prized head biologist of the Mochuna Region, Dr. Arnold Palm. After a cyber attack on the servers of the professor, the first thing he needs from the player is to help him complete the biological records on the Pokemon of the Mochuna region, bit by bit. While doing so, the player encounters some shady activities all around the region, that lead him inside a conspiracy bigger than he ever believed.

Basically, the main focus in Pokemon Abundance is about attention to detail - a huge amount of work is put into each and every bit of the game and the story, in a way that creates an in-depth and extensive plot that last throughout the entire game.


The Region

The region in which Pokemon Abundance occurs is an archipelago called The Mochuna Region. While geographically it is completely fictional, the region takes cultural influences from places all over the world, such as Iceland, China, Mexico, Japan, Italy, New Zealand and many more.

The Mochuna Region is an extensive one, containing lots of cities and unique locations that will help to make the gameplay more diverse.


The Pokemon

Pokemon Abundance's Pokedex is mainly built out of new pokemon - except for a few exceptions, the majority of the Pokedex is entirely new. Currently, the Pokedex contains over 140 new pokemon with new ones in development.


Features

Graphics - The game aims to have original custom graphics, in order to truly give the players an authentic and deep grasp of the essence of the Mochuna Region.

Authentic Experience - Apart from being a very detailed game, the game also tries to deliver an authentic Pokemon experience, giving you a unique gameplay experience while not going too far away from the general guidelines of the official Pokemon games.

The Quest System - A notable feature of the game is the way he is built - The game is built up by quests. Main quests contain the objectives of the storyline of the game. In addition, the game includes side quests - Some of them are short and rewarding, while others are extensive, filled with cutscenes especially built for them. By having this system, each player can choose his own way to experience the game - Whether he wants to stick solely to the main storyline, to do all of the optional sidequests or any combination of the both - the quest system allows each player to enjoy the game in a different way.

The Mochuna League - The official Pokemon league of the Mochuna Region is slightly different than others. The league contains 14 gyms, scattered all around the Mochuna region's islands and a unique victory road who leads to the League Island - The island where the player will try to successfully pass the challenges of the Mochuna League and be crowned the Mochua League Champion. The League itself is quite different from others in the Pokemon universe, with two different stages and an innovational elite four challenge.

Difficulty - alongside all of the other features, the game also aims to be a slightly difficult one. The majority of the gym leaders own a full party, and key characters in the game have well-balanced teams during the entire game. In addition, the level curve aims to be high on one side, as the game's league levels are around 95-100 but not too high on the other, to allow a largely flowing game experience without too much time to be spent on training.

- Sprite Artists (for in-game cutscenes)
- Custom Tileset Makers
- People who know to work graphic designing software (such as Photoshop etc.)

Wow, the region map looks like it includes a lot of cool geography, and I can't wait to see what other new Pokemon are included (the one you posted a picture of looks cute, and the drawing is well done). Also, your point about difficulty sounds very promising (Pokemon is usually too easy, so it's always great when someone makes a game which is difficult but fair). Looking forward to more!
