While doing my most recent 6 Smeargle run in Crystal (not recorded), I wanted to Sketch Spore off a Cooltrainer's Parasect right before Victory Road.
I switched to the intended Smeargle; and, to my amazement, Spore missed my Smeargle, despite Spore's having 100% Accuracy.
Before anyone asks, no, none of my Smeargle have Bright Powder, and it was the first turn of the battle and my only action then was switching out.
According to several articles I've checked online, the 1/256 chance glitch was fixed in Gen 2, yet I can recall this happening even in the Gen 3 games.
Would anyone have any insight as to why this happened?
EDIT: In this video (not made by me), the enemy Flaaffy misses Thunder Wave on the first turn of the battle in Crystal version.
