  • Pokémon Vivid Skies and Stygian Lands are Pokémon fan games I'm developing.
    Plot
VS/SL take place in the region of Aspen, a warm region with many Pokémon enhabiting it. On Mt. Gaia lies the village of Kura, a isolated village located in a crater. There you live with your grandparents and learn how to survive by your lonesome. There are no traditional gyms in VS/SL. Trainers who wanted to become the strongest must find the Aspenian Grandmasters and fulfill their requests. After completing their tasks, they player must battle the Grandmaster. Each Grandmaster use specific Pokémon, such as Pokémon of the same type, of the same color, and much more. After a Grandmaster is defeated, the victor gains a jade shard to represent their victory. After all Grandmasters have been defeated, the shards can be used to gain access to a sacred alter where a Pokémon spoken in legends is said to rest. Along the way you will encounter the Nebula Organization, a group of individuals whom's objective is unknown. Not only will you meet the Nebula Organization, but you will meet the Reapers. Reapers are Pokémon created by a mysterious substance called Ether. These Reapers contain power beyond legendary Pokémon. Not much is known about them other then they seem to be seeking an unknown source of power hidden within Aspen.

    Mechanics

As previously stated, gyms are not in VS/SL. There will be 20 Grandmasters in the games, with some being game-specific. In VS/SL you can only save in towns. If there are no towns nearby, you can summon a Hakuro. Hakuro are spirits that possess dolls. To summon a Hakuro, you must be in a specific spot and have a Spirit Orb. Spots where Hakuro can be summoned are indicated by red energy flowing around a area. There are also some new Pokèballs. An example is the Umbraball. The Umbraball increases the catch rate for Dark and Dragon-types. There are also new abilities and moves in VS/SL which'll make playing a bit more interesting.

Currently that's all so far, but more will be added. If you have a suggestion, feel free to comment below!

This game sounds amazing, but I have one thing to say, You should keep the ability to save anywhere, because what happens if you don't have a Spirit orb, or don't have to reach a town or a specific place. Just a thought!
