    TEAM FIREBLAST​

    Introduction​
    Hello Pokecommunity. I'm AlfaTyrogue, and I've been thinking about making a hack for quite some time. Not only do I want to create a story and help to create a hack worthy of praise, but I also want to try putting together a team and producing and writing a game. For the time-being, this début-game will be prioritized, but should the team turn out to be a success, I would be glad to return and make another one.

    Storyline of the Project​
    Pokémon Shine takes place in the Ventus Region, a place distant to the regions of the original games. But just like the original games, you are a youngster destined to great things, and the professor gives you your starter and a Pokédex to begin your adventure. Your rival and childhood friend sees himself as an expert in Pokémon, but gets overconfident from time to time.
    But just as your quest to defeat the regional Champion, the sinister Team Crystal shows up in pursuit of a legendary pokémon able to control the will of mankind. With its power they will in-capture all Pokémon to put them where they belong: as the servants of humans. Is your willpower stronger than their manpower? Only one way to find out!

    • I'm sorry to say it, but I have after much consideration decided not to hire additional storywriter to the project. While many other teams are in need of an expert in storytelling, I do not require this kind of help, and your talents is more needed elsewhere.
    If you have a story you want to tell, you can write a fan-fic or maybe become a storywriter for another team with that requirement. Best of luck for your future endeavors, and again, sorry.


    I have deleted storyline assistant at the first post.
    We now only need a scripter and a leveldesigner to begin.
    We're also recruiting a Tile-artist and a concept-artist.

    I will remind you, that xWhyNotx has taken back his application, so the position as SCRIPTER is still available and needed.
    Otherwise we still need a LEVEL-DESIGNER and a CONCEPTARTIST before having a complete team!​

    • It's awfully quiet around here. The fact of the matter is, we can't start mapping, spriting or experimenting with the story before we have a SCRIPTER on-board to set the limit to our graphics, level of programming, what pokémon will be available etc.

    As soon as someone shows up with the right amount of talent, we'll begin making the game.

    For now, Machaku and I are trying to make a Male hero:

    Still needs corrections in shading and such, and we're not even sure the size or color-scheme will match up with whatever game we'll be hacking, but the design, I find, is not at all bad. It's a start. What should his default name be?

    The character looks nice! I'll see if I can try to hack him into Pokémon B/W anytime soon. ;)
    I think his name should be Sean. I dunno why, but he looks like he would be named Sean.

    I do know of a program that can generate scripts for trainers and such, so if I can get that working, I'll be able to script some trainer battles. Yay!

    It'll be good for some tech demo and trying out new moves and/or new pokémon. We still need a dedicated scripter, though.

    I personally like the name "Mark", it's short and kinda fits him. Sean is a good name, but a little weird to pronounce I think :/

    Alright, guys, WE HAVE A SCRIPTER!
    I'm figuring out the details with him at the moment, but for now we can begin making the game!

    Aryan, you'll probably have something to do soon.
    It'll be a FireRed / LeafGreen hack, so 16 x 16 sprites on the tiles, KirakonGxi
    Machaku, see two lines above
    BassBlood, don't know if we can implement music and sounds just yet
    SuperSnivy, we'll begin with the story and dialogue immediately, so send a PM my way!

    I'll be posting later with a sketch of the Ventus Region :D

    Anyone have an idea for a name for the hack, cause Pokémon Shine is a bit uncanny :/
